First 16 Teams to Pass Tech on the first try get a Free Engine!

In the event that not enough teams pass on the first try, the remaining engines will be distributed otherwise by the Organizers.

Come Tour the Briggs & Stratton Plant!

Most, if not all Baja SAE engines are made by Briggs & Stratton at their plant in Auburn, AL.  You are invited to come and see where your engine was built.  The plant is open for tour by Baja SAE Auburn competitors (and friends) on Thursday, 19 April, from 3 pm to 7 pm

The plant is located at 150 Technology Parkway, Auburn, AL 36830 (16.6 miles, 25 minutes, from the BSA12 site).  Everyone touring the plant must conform to Briggs & Stratton’s dress code – long pants and closed toed shoes (otherwise you will not be admitted to the plant).

Refueling will be allowed only in designated areas

At BajaSAE Auburn 2012, teams may not keep gasoline or any other liquid fuel in their paddocks or trailers at any time.   The only exception to this rule is fuel contained in integral tanks which are installed on cars or equipment (e.g., generators).

All fueling of cars will take place in the refueling area (in the Hot Pits), and must adhere to Endurance Race refueling rules.  Fueling of equipment may take place in the paddocks, as long as a fire extinguisher is always ready, and the fuel storage tank is returned immediately to the refueling area.
